Wildlife Rescue

On Saturday, we found a bird in our yard that appeared to have something wrong with it's eyes. We were able to walk right up to the bird and touch it without it flying away. I caught it in a cage and you could see that its eyes were red and swollen. We put the bird in the cage in the garage so we could take it to the wildlife rehabilitation place in Roseville. During that time the mother bird would fly in and out of the open garage door checking on her baby. I even found Noah trying to help the bird out too. He managed to empty an entire box of croutons into the cage for the bird. Evidently he thought it was hungry. LOL. Later when we took the bird in to the rehabilitation place, we found out that the bird had pink eye. Who knew birds could get pink eye. They kept the bird at their facility and were going to treat it. They will release the bird when it is healthy.
