This morning, Lauren is getting dressed for school. She brings out a new spaghetti strap tank top that she hasn't worn before and she says to me "Mom, what is this thing inside here?". I look inside the shirt and there is a built in bra inside it. So I think to myself..OMG..this is so not a conversation I want to have with a 7 year old at 7:15 AM when she is already pushing the time limit for getting ready for the bus. So I just explained to her what it was and why it was inside her shirt. She says "Oh...OK". Then she proceeds to show me how it can also be used to hold up her shirt if the sleeves fall down. LOL. Guess I don't have to worry about the bra for a while.

I thought the same thing this past Aug when I was buying tanks for the girls for back to school. Why is there a built in bra for an 8 year old?? Seriously? Whatever. I think it is so they can mass produce and not have to change the layout when producing a size 8 versus a size 14 that really probably needs the bra. Whatever!
